TabRider (“the app”, “we”) is a guitar-learning application for iOS and iPadOS, developed and published by Stéphane Burger. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.
TabRider uses your device’s microphone to listen to the notes you play on your guitar. Audio is analysed entirely on your device in real time using Apple’s Accelerate framework (FFT / harmonic analysis). No audio data — raw or processed — is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted off your device.
TabRider does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Specifically:
The app stores your exercise scores and progression state locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you import your own Guitar Pro (.gpx) files, those files are stored in the app’s private Documents folder on your device.
Neither is transmitted anywhere by TabRider. Both are, however, included in your device’s iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup switched on — that is a function of your own iOS settings, and TabRider neither configures nor initiates any iCloud sync or backup of its own.
Because nothing is stored outside your device, deleting the app removes all of it: your scores, your progression, and any Guitar Pro files you imported. There is no account to close and nothing for us to delete on your behalf. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, a copy may persist in your backups until those backups are replaced or removed, which you control from iOS Settings.
TabRider does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If the app’s data practices change in a future version (for example, if cloud sync or online features are added), this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will reflect that change.
